The von Stiehl Winery, listed in the Federal Historic Registry, and part of the Wisconsin Heritage Tourism program, offers a nostalgic view of turn-of-the-century German America.  The historic winery has won over 100 medals for its German-style wines, including six Golds and the "Gold Taste Award" for its popular Johannisberg Riesling. Tours include a visit to the century-old underground limestone caverns where wine is fermented and aged.  See and learn how wine is created. Then plan to sample over twenty-five varieties of grape and fruit wines. After spending time with the friendly staff and indulging in good "spirits", take a walk next door to The Grapevine, where you will find unique glassware, imported steins, and a rich selection of food and gift items.
