Historic Cheesemaking Center website 
The Welcome Center houses the Historic Cheesemaking Center.  Located in a lovingly restored Milwaukee Road Rail Depot, both the Green County Welcome Center and the cheesemaking museum welcome visitors.  A replica cheese factory, plus artifacts and photos, trace the Swiss cheese industry.  Open daily 9-4 March thru November, open 11-3 Thursday-Saturday December thru February.  Suggested donation: $2 Adults, children free, bus tours welcome with advanced notice.

The Green County Ag Chest has been as common a sight as a dairy cow in a pasture in Green County, WI the past 50+ years.  With a tradition in dairy promotion, the Ag Chest has proudly supported our agriculture youth financially by providing scholarships, monies to the FFA Chapters, 4H Clubs, and sponsoring such events as Green County Dairy Days and the Breakfast on the Farm.  The Ag Chest trailers can be seen throughout the county, southern Wisconsin, and northern Illinois in the summer months selling homemade cream puffs, Green County "Gold" (cheese), ice cream, and hearty sandwiches to earn monies to be used by Green County's finest youth.  Farm and Cheese Factory tours can be taken, call for an appointment.

Manitowoc County has approximately 1,400 farms and ranks fourth in Wisconsin and 27th in the United States in annual milk production. Manitowoc County is also home to the second largest vegetable cannery in the country - Lakeside Foods - and hosts Wisconsin's third largest Farmers Market in Manitowoc. The Brownderosa is a llama farm in western Wisconsin.  We have about 30 llama-we have national caliber show llamas, breeding stock, pets, packers + driving animals.  The farm is also home to the Leon Valley Veterinary Service, a full-service large animal clinic specializing in llamas, alpacas and horses.  We enjoy all aspects of the llama business; from hosting pack trips & 4H events, raising babies to show nationally.  Llamas have proven to be a very enjoyable and profitable enterprise on our farm.
