The smells and tastes of fall abound at the farm with our own cider donuts, hand-dipped caramel apples, farm-made apple crisp and pumpkin cake and fresh fudge. October isn't just for the daytime crowd though either. Spurgeon Vineyards & Winery

Highland, WI

It is the nature of hills to drain away cold and water thus rendering the hilltops an excellent location to grow grapes. The winery is nestled in the valley below. Spurgeon Vineyards offers free wine sampling, a chance to relax on the deck, or a tour the facilities. In 1977, owners Glen and Mary Spurgeon planted corn on the hilltops as well as a half row of grapes. In 1978 they made a serious dent in the planting of their vineyards by putting in 5 acres of grapes. This was followed by a 5 acre planting in 1979, another 5 acre planting in 1981 and a final acre in 1982. Each of those acres contains 600 or more vines.

Spurgeon Vineyards & Winery

Highland, WI
Spurgeon Vineyards & Winery

Spurgeon Vineyards & Winery is located in the beautiful hills of Southwest Wisconsin.

Winery in a Restored Dairy Barn

Bill and Ruth Lautenbach purchased the family farm in 1955 and raised 3 children along with caring for 75 milking cows and acres of cherry orchard.

Their eldest son Robert (Bob) Lautenbach and his family took over the farm in the mid 70's and established a roadside market in 1975. The dairy barn was restored and became the working winery in 1985. The Lautenbach family recently added estate-grown grape wines to their offerings, with these wines named after their three grandchildren. 2013 WATA Member

This was followed by a 5 acre planting in 1979, another 5 acre planting in 1981 and a final acre in 1982. Each of those acres contains 600 or more vines.

August is new crop honey being harvested here, a! nd then its' our 10 acre corn maze along with hayrides, farm animals, the activity area, and pumpkin picking during the months of Sept. and Oct. We are handicap accessible here at the farm, even the hayrides! Fieldtrips, weddings, tours and outings for companies and groups are available anytime. Schuster's Farm

Deerfield, WI
Schuster's Farm

Schuster's Playtime Farm blends nature, agriculture and pure entertainment in a manner uniquely its own. Our centennial round barn is a sight to behold and stories of its past capture the attention of kids (young and old). The rolling hills, woods and cropland make a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch about more than just getting a pumpkin. It gives our guests the opportunity to sit back, take a deep breath of the country air and relax. Our "backyard" feels like a bustling county fair from shooting cannons to pig races to feeding the goats plus gobs of activities you've just never quite experienced this way before. The smells and tastes of fall abound at the farm with our own cider donuts, hand-dipped caramel apples, farm-made apple crisp and pumpkin cake and fresh fudge. October isn't just for the daytime crowd though either. For years now, Schuster's Haunted Forest has been THE outdoor haunt attraction in south central Wisconsin-from the wagon ride to the heart stopping walk through the forest. Our Fall Festival season runs September 20st-October 31st. We also host private engagements--weddings, parties, field trips, company picnics, birthdays-5/1-10/31.
